PubMed abst_e field - contains basic html

Created on 4 September 2019, over 5 years ago
Updated 13 November 2023, about 1 year ago

For PubMed journal_article imports, the Abstract data (abst_e field) contains basic html text: <p> <ul> <li>, however the bibcite format for the abst_e field is plain text.

In the BIBLIOGRAPHY & CITATION Settings, if the Reference page view mode is set to Table, the html tags are displayed when the content is viewed. It would be helpful to be able to either format the field as basic html or strip the html tags.

If there is a workaround I am okay with adding a patch or making simple modifications.

Note this hardcoded these fields to use "basic_html" format but that format may not exist on a site. We wrote an additional update hook to change these formats to what we actually have.
