Closing issue due the fact that D7 is EOL.
I am working on a Drupal distribution that is currently built in Drupal 7, but we are planning an upgrade to Drupal 8 in the future. One of the things we want to add is Oauth2 for API authentication (currently using restws module in D7). It appears that the oauth2_server module is the best choice for Drupal 7, so we are curious if it would make sense to add that to the distro right now so we can start using it, and then migrate to simple_oauth in Drupal 8. We are hoping this would mean a smooth transition for any applications storing OAuth2 tokens generated from oauth2_server, into the new system running simple_oauth.
Based on your understanding of OAuth in general, and this module specifically, do you think that is feasible? Or will we need to reconfigure all integrations after making the switch? If so, then we may decide to simply hold off on adding OAuth until we have upgraded to Drupal 8. Any insight you can provide is appreciated! And if a migration path does seem possible, we would be happy to help build that (either in this module, or in a separate contrib module).
