Thanks for sharing @johnhanley, works like a charm in 9.5.8. Only needed to update
core: 8.xin the .info file tocore_version_requirement: ^9 || ^10.
The attached zip file contains a Drupal 8 port of jQuery Map Hilight.
The module is fully operational, but needs a little more work to be complete. For instance the "include on every page" configuration needs to be fully implemented. That said, it's totally usable as is. I'm using it for a client project. The maintainer just needs to create a branch and add it to the project.
