The module currently only supports the Media Library module in Drupal core and the “Add Media” popup provided by core. It does not support the “Add media” popup from the Entity browser contrib module.
Patches welcome!
Core File and Image field types already have such support. I think it should not be quite difficult by extending the entity browser FileBrowserWidget.
