Same here. I validated the pdf with pdfinfo, so might be a bug with our very-outdated pdf.js library version.
Closing this as there is not much we can do at the moment.
For example https://stelnews.info/pdf/issue_163 and the download link works.
They display directly in the pdf link: https://stelnews.info//sites/default/files/pdf/sn163.pdf
