Possible to require a content type to be in a group

I don’t think I’ve tried it, but you should be able to use entitygroupfield → and make that field required. That seems like what you’re asking for.

I am unable to get that to work. That seems to be on the display side. I want to block node creation if the node is not in a group.

I tried adding a reference from the node to the group and that works, but it does not add the node to the group.

Would this work?
