Create additional hook_node_ranks

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, feel free to move it if not.

I just did a search for "Ubercart" on Drupal's homepage using the special 'Downloads' search, but didn't find the actual Ubercart module until halfway down page 5... Note: this happens for other search results too, not just "Ubercart".

I'd like to recommend some sort of feature that allows 'special' search results to be displayed at the top of the list, 'special' meaning modules that have 'sub-modules' that push the main one down the list until you can't find it (like Ubercart, eCommerce, CCK, etc.)

I'm asking specifically for the search on Drupal.org (hence posting this in Drupal's issue queue), but I'm sure lots of people will find it a handy module/feature for their own site.
I suppose there are already modules in the making that'll do this, but maybe some tweaking can be done as a temporary fix for the current state of Drupal.org...
