Drupal 7 has come to end of life and I haven't worked with Drupal 7 in many years so I'm marking this as won't fix.
When the body of a node gets really long, the change event that fires in yoast_seo.js starts to bog down and slow down typing. I've attached a patch that debounces this so things should stay relatively brisk.
