Do not add the same taxonomy term when it already exists

In a taxomy term field with multiple values, i want to add a value, but if the term exists, it add the same term again, so i have two of same term in same field. Would be possible to make it something like this: if the value already exist in a multiple value field, ignore it, if already exist, add it ?
