When placing a subscription block using 8.x-1.x-dev, something seems to be broken as the site fails with the following error:
Error: Call to undefined method Drupal\simplenews\Form\SubscriberForm::setUniqueId() in Drupal\simplenews\Plugin\Block\SimplenewsSubscriptionBlock->build() (line 164 of modules/contrib/simplenews/src/Plugin/Block/SimplenewsSubscriptionBlock.php).

I encountered this error in SimpleNews 4. The block was embedded in a paragraph using a block reference and in the form view of the block paragraph the block option "configuration form: hidden" was selected. The solution was to change the block configuration form option to "full".
