Setting zoom programtically

Initially the set zoom is enough. But when I select a location and and click apply, I want the location to be zoomed in.

So at that start page, say the zoom is 2
When I search for a country by filters, the next opened page should have a zoom of say 6.

Can you suggest a way to programtically do this? Either through backend or frontend? I am not able to find any code for it online.
