I might be missing this but I do not see any limits to the number of failed login attempts for a user. Is there a way to limit the number of failed logins a user can have, or can it be added?

This patch seems to introduce many more changes than just flood protection as it is also dealing with additional parameters related to the service.

Can a patch or issue fork be made that just includes the flood code please?
