I'm closing this in favor of more targeted efforts in issues moving forward.
We need to ensure complete test coverage for the classes and functionality exposed by Patternkit.
Most of this work should just be completing the PHPUnit classes and tests, with a little bit of simpletest sprinkled on top.
Our simpletest really only needs to test the main workflow - creating a panels plugin with the provided example library.
