private://test/[token] prints...the same. Token doesn't work

As for title, when typing private://test/[current-date:html_year] or any other token, it creates a folder called [token name] into the sub, instead of interpret the token. I looked back in the forum, and I see there was already this problem with the D6 o 7, but I didn't find anything regarding D8. I'm also new to drupal, coming from wp and some PHP, so maybe I'm missing something (but I've installed TOKEN module of course at least ;) )
