Associate an equipment asset with a planting?

Is there a way to associate an Equipment, or Compost asset type with a Planting asset? It would be helpful when entering plantings to be able to say, for example, that Planting A requires floating row cover (an Equipment asset) and Planting B requires both a portable plastic hoop house (Equipment asset) and a yard of Compost (Compost asset).
