Do you think we should go forward with this even if it might exclude some non-entity-reference fields that should not be excluded? Are we feeling biased toward action?
Drupal\Component\Plugin\Exception\PluginNotFoundException when the getFieldmapOptions() runs into a moderation_state field. That happens to have a "target_type" setting... but it isn't an entity reference. :/ it gets treated as one and crashes.
Patch attached may not be quite right, if there are non-entity-reference fields we were trying to find here.
