The issue is still there with the new version of the module...I created a patch that get the target field from the Drupal menu UI and set it as default value in the mega menu item.
In the Drupal Menu UI you can set the target attribute for menu items, to be self or blank, a new window.
However, in the we-megamenu-li.html.twig there does not seem to be a provision for rendering the "target" attribute. As such, even if I set a link in my menu to open in a new window, when that menu link is rendered by the MegaMenu that setting is not taken into account.
