Pagination with Information about total page number

I understand the possibility to create multisite pdfs with pagination by setting an multisite pdf with pagination as a template. But more detailed pagination mentioning the total page number as a token cannot be achieved in this way. Examples:
* page 1 of 8
* page 2 ofe 8
or
* p. 1/32
* p. 2/32
… because the pdf-template doesn't know, how many pages the pdf will have.

A token for the current page number and another one for the total page number would be the best solution.
