It would be great to have an option to display the widget on paths; currently, the only way to use it on a views-generated page would be to copy the code from a working page, modify it accordingly and paste in into the views footer.
As far as a test case is concerned, I'm not sure what that means; you can quickly see that there's no option to display the widget on a views-generated page.
