Menu not displayed

Hi, we have been working on a site that would use groups and group menus to create a way for external people edit and handle their own content. So far we've had issue after issue due to group and groupmenu being a bit incomplete but we've been handling things and trying to make bug reports and help where we can.

But now that we are so close to goal we hit a snag that i've been trying to work for days. How do you display group menu when viewing a node?
* I'm using the groupmenu -block so that every group that actually has menus is displayed.
* I have associated the node to the group (i'm hoping this wouldn't be mandatory but the nodeid+groupid from url would work?), not working.
* I have tried different url aliases, even non-aliased url's and nothing seems to make the menu popup.
* I have associated nodes to menus and even this doesn't make the group menu popup.

I can see the node title and menu when viewing "/group/2/content/11" -url but this is just the relation not the actual content. So how do i access content and at the same time display the group menu or am i just being stupid and missing something totally obvious? :)

I'm all ears for help and can provide anything anyone needs to get things working. :D
