I had the problem with version 2.1.0.
I redid the patch to apply to this version.
Getting this message when running my migration:
Warning: array_flip(): Can only flip STRING and INTEGER values! in Drupal\Core\Entity\EntityStorageBase->loadMultiple() (line 227 of core/lib/Drupal/Core/Entity/EntityStorageBase.php).
The migration still runs successfully, but you get one of these messages per row that you import.

The change is currently missing an automated test that fails when run with the original code, and succeeds when the bug has been fixed.
