I need to place the stock notification block far from the add to cart block.
It would be great to separate the stock notification to a separate form / field in order to be able to place it where you want for easier theming.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
Changing the version to 8.x-1.x, as D7 will be EOL soon. I think this is a good idea and the current approach is not enough flexible. We should explore possibilities of adding this form to a block, or a product field, so that it can be placed where desired.
