Admin menu entries not visible

The various admin menu entries are not visible for the administration user on Commerce kickstart 7.x-2.39.

hook_menu function in commerce_amazon_mws module defines a number of admin menu entries. None of these are visible. The actual urls work properly when entered into a browser, so my workaround is to create a bunch of bookmarks in my browser.

I briefly looked at the code and could not see anything easy and obvious. I got the same behaviour using a current version of commerce on a current version of drupal (not the kickstarter distribution). So the problem is not related to the fancy menu stuff that commerce kickstarter does.

Note: I checked and the administrator role has both "amazon mws administration" and "amazon mws reporting" permissions. This should not be permission related as the urls work properly when entered manually into my browser.
