there should be a "Create Issue / Bug" button on the d.o documentation pages for each function / method, so that when the user clicks the button it automatically populates the issue with the proper values...
for example in:
https://api.drupal.org/api/devel/devel_generate%21drush%21devel_generate...
right above / below that Search block.
would make filing a bug to a specific piece of code easier to track / debug, etc...
there is a link there to "File an issue" just above the comment box but it's very small.
And it doesn't pre-populate much.
(if you want to make it really cool,
make it like a Feedback popup modal colorbox window with a simple paste / quick edit form...
and the developer would be notified and rule kicks in to create the issue...type of cool thing...)

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
This is being redone here 🐛 Restore link for filing a documentation issue Needs review , and it has some styling and wording on it.
It's only done for the "drupal" core project as not all of the projects have "documentation" components and it's really hard to have a link to those (as an example, "devel" is not even in the drupal.org issue queue).
