https://www.drupal.org/project/paragraphs → is getting major traction in D8 because is a simple way to allow content contributors to effect the layouts of their content without needing to know HTML.
https://www.drupal.org/project/field_collection → is a long standing and popular module as well.
It would be great to allow mapping to instances of paragraph entities, or field collections from gather content.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
Also did for 8.x-5.x, 6.x now also adds component support. There are still limits to the flexibility of Paragraphs, we're in touch with GatherContent and are discussing options on further improving the integration.
