I still like this idea! But let's move the discussion over to the forum and open a PR for reviewing an actual implementation rather than leaving these old issues open forever.
I'm listing equipment (tractors and attachments), and would like to relate which attachments can go on which tractors.
In a similar vein, the restriction on the number of relations is bothersome. For instance, I have fields, and "permanent fence" as an asset in each field. I'd like to relate the fencing to the field its deployed in, and change this from time to time (because sometimes, especially for leased fields, we move the fencing).
