JavaScript license: Licensing FAQ vs reality

I opened an issue in the LWG issue tracker to address the fact that our FAQ says that the jQuery that ships with Drupal is GPL2+, in fact it is MIT: #2744505: Answer to Q9 in Licensing FAQ should be corrected

The proposed solution is to not do anything to the files that ship with Drupal, but to instead to change the FAQ to tell the truth.

I'm taking the liberty of posting a notice about the proposed change in the core issue queue, since I don't think many core developers monitors the LWG issue tracker on a regular basis. Feel free to voice your opinion about the proposed change.
