Drop downs to select month and year

In order to navigate month and year in the Calendar month block, the users only options are to click the Previous / Next links (Figure 1).

There are use cases where the user wants to navigate several months ahead (or even back). In such cases the click behavior is time consuming.

Are there configuration settings to provide a better UX for navigating between months and years? For instance, drop downs on the Month and Year to select a different month and/or year?
