Your simplytest.me setup is broken, the patch will not apply.
Attempting to proceed without the patch, things get confusing.
1) You specify a lot of modules on simplytest.me, which are not listed as dependencies on the project page. What's the story with them?
2) Activating all the modules on the extend page (after activating ECK and creating a brick entity) led to a WSOD.
I suggest you
a) create a more details set of normal installation instructions for a "recommended setup" (i.e. + bricks bootstrap or whatever)
b) create instructions for setting up a simplytest.me demo playground (of course best would be a demo module ...)

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
I just ran into this issue, and the above is still the case. I would also recommend removing the simplytest.me instructions entirely, if they are not going to work. Even if this does represent more of an issue with simplytest, I agree that faulty instructions do affect my confidence in using the module, but still curious to try it out.
