The dialog for tagging text in CKEditor with Linked Data requires a dialog box with a 'select' widget which queries a given datasource to fetch matching entities. As the entities should be displayed with additional details such as description, image etc.. select2 library was used. However select2 version 4.0.0 and earlier versions does not work inside dialog boxes. [Refer https://github.com/select2/select2/issues/1246 ]
Additionally the z-indexes enforced prevents the dropdown box from being displayed.
