convert: No such file or directory

hi, i just upgrade my site to drupal 6.x and i need to use image 6.x.
i followed the installation instructions, but still i got an error trying to use imagemagick (gd works fine). the message says:

ImageMagick reported an error:
sh: /convert: No such file or directory

my open_basedir is: /var/www/sites/manager:/usr/lib/php:/tmp:/usr/share/pear:/var/lib/dtc/etc/dtc404:/usr/share/php:/usr/local/lib/php/phplib:

~$ /var/www/sites/manager/bin/convert -version
Version: ImageMagick 6.2.4 02/10/07 Q16 http://www.imagemagick.org 
Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2005 ImageMagick Studio LLC

basically, i have the same problem as greenbuilder in http://drupal.org/node/169603

please help :)

    I also faced the same issue in drupal 9.

    I got the solution - In this page "/admin/config/media/image-toolkit", select the radio button "ImageMagick image toolkit" and remove the path already exist in the field "Path to the package executables". Again select the radio button "GD2 image manipulation toolkit" and save configuration.
