This builds on https://www.drupal.org/node/1968600 → and https://www.drupal.org/node/2236367 → . I added it to the first PR a couple years ago, but that change was lost as I did it after the original issue had already been committed.
The profile_name is also useful to have. Now that we've added $conf, can we also add $profile_name.
