Closing this as "outdated" because there hasn't been a very strong need for it in core. That may change... but no sense in leaving this issue open forever.
Add a new entity reference field called "Related Logs" to Movements, Observations, Issues, etc. This will be useful if you need to add two logs, but want to link them conceptually. Ie: "chicken was attacked by a predator, so I moved her to the barn to recover" - this involves both an observation and a movement.
