Thanks for raising an issue! I'm currently going through the menu_ui issues and found this one.
This is an 8 year old issue with no updates or +1s in many years. I also think this would add too much clutter to the UI of the menu links page.
Marking as postponed to see if this bump gives this issue any traction, if not it should be closed I think.
