Show nodes only in Overlay with Redirect?

Hello,
The module seems to be working well (I'm redesigning a website, and using the 301 redirects between old and new URLs).
But what I would like to achieve is that specific nodes should open ONLY in overlays.
So basically, if someone enters the url "www.domain.com/category/title", drupal automatically should go to "www.domain.com/#overlay=category/title".
I thought a redirect will work, but I created a loop, as the content is the same, just the way to present it is different.
I'm using the overlay path module, which works only when the visitor clicks on a link on the website.
But if the visitor types in the url "www.domain.com/category/title" into the browser (so for example coming from a Google Search), than it won't switch to the overlay.
Any ideas?
