I would like to be able to embed ads in outgoing emails sent with Forum Email Integration (FEmail) module for Drupal 7. I am starting work on this functionality, but wasn't sure if there was a best way to proceed to make the code work for as many other modules as possible, I was thinking exposing the ads via drupal_alter might work...
