Userpoints causes update error Undefined index: version_major

We are getting an generic error Notice: Undefined index: version_major in update_calculate_project_update_status() that we have tracked down to being caused by userpoints.

My guess is that the update meta data provided by the userpoints project is corrupt.

Yep - one is missing a "release". if you go here https://drupal.org/node/25406/release and scroll through the list of releases, you will find one just labelled as
"usepoints" (no release #)
with a date of Posted by Berdir on December 19, 2010 at 5:48pm.

I marked this as major as it is causing the update module to be pretty much useless.
