Not sure how this problem started, but if I add a link to any "add content" or edit content such as node/add to the main menu of my site, the apache memory usage quickly begins to spike until all server RAM is consumed. No amount of clearing cache, devel rebuild menu, cron, reboot etc solves this issue. Site becomes unusable.
Tried truncating menu_links and menu_router in the db. Rebuilt main menu with new links, same thing happened as soon as I began adding links to add or edit content.
Not sure if there is any connection, but I did recently enable the commerce module(s). Other than that, there were not many changes to the site over the past few months.
