I am finding Media Recorder to be an excellent and much needed addition to the Drupal community. I much prefer it to AudioRecorderField as the nanogong java applet is too difficult for users to use, and the soundcloud flash recorder is, well, flash!
I now have the module running successfully on a variety of content types and various comments.
This module has the potential to become the standard for Drupal sites that need to allow users to easily and quickly add audio and possibly embedded YouTube, etc video.
I was wondering if there is any way to delay the browser notification that the media recorder field is requesting use of the audio and web cam? This notification normally appears in the browser on page load. I would like it to appear when the user accesses the media recorder field. For example, I am using (also outstanding) "Conditional Fields" module to hide various fields such as media recorder on node/add forms and it would be ideal if the browser notification appeared only when the media recorder field is selected.
The only other issues I have with media recorder at the moment are:
1. I would like to be able to run the audio converter module to convert the wav files to mp3, or any other way to convert the files (ffmeg, sox, etc) and still have them available in the media recorder field for display.
2. I cannot get the mediaelement players to work with content in the media recorder field. Not sure if this is specific to media recorder or just my site.
3. I cannot figure out how to display recorded YouTube videos. The fact that this even works to record to YouTube is fantastic, I just want to be able to automatically embed and see the YouTube video when the page is loaded.
