How do I keep views page from using arguments?

No doubt the views module is one of the greatest there is.

I am having one issue though.

How do I turn off arguments? I have a basic site.com/blog/ in which I display posts newest to oldest. However a user can type in site.com/blog/asd and it will render the as if it is site.com/blog/ What I would like to have is a 404 when the page doesn't exist. Is this possible?

The issue I'm running into is that there are some links that point at the blog but dont exists. This cause search spiders to index a whole new set up links and makes SEOMoz believes there is massive duplicate content. because when a link like site.com/blob/page-that-doesnt-exist comes along it starts to crawl through the pagination causing links like this to be indexed. site.com/blob/page-that-doesnt-exist?page=1, site.com/blob/page-that-doesnt-exist?page=2

Best,
Dano
