Node is not saved on first submit with Apache Solr framework module enabled

I am trying to debug a problem that emerged on my site when upgrading to Solr 3.

On one content type (which is quite complex, and has been changed a number of times), any field content on the node does not save on first submit if the Apache Solr framework module is enabled. The node is created, but only with the title saved. Re-opening the node and editing it saves it normally.

If the module is disabled, the node saves normally on first submit. I have disabled all other modules one by one, unitl the Solr module is the only one left.

I have also tried creating new content types with a single text field, and that fails in the same way.

Can anyone help me with figuring this out? Where can I start looking?
