Right now, project_package.module knows exactly what releases of what projects are fully-packaged distros, and which are just "install profiles" (i.e. a .profile, .info, maybe a non-drupalorg.make, etc). It'd be nice if something automatically added the equivalent of a badge to the install profile project pages if the currently recommended release is a fully-packaged distro.
Instead of suggesting this as part of #1314124: [META] Improve installation profile listing on Drupal.org → it seems worth splitting off into a separate issue.
