The one Semantic Views capability that i use which was not added by #740686: Integrate semantic views → is replacing the wrappers around the entire row with an arbitrary tag or no tag at all.
Views is one step away from allowing, for instance, the fields to be separated by commas (already possible) and the rows by semicolons, with no markup at all, if you just wanted to show a simple list.
The approach right now would be i guess to use something arguably more semantic, like an unordered list, and theme it, but Views is very, very close to having full flexibility to change tags (perhaps stuffed in the Unformatted row style?)
